Housing Shouldn’t Just Be Affordable. It Should be Invaluable.
There’s more to where you live than the cost of rent. That’s why Fulbright Springs, a 36 home, new construction development was designed to minimize environmental impact while maximizing residential benefits.
Completed in 2010 Fulbright Springs offers 36 three bedroom, two bath 1,500 square foot affordable homes. With a location on North Farm Road 143, just off Norton Road, access to thousands of jobs is close by, and a newly extended bus route provides easy access. When Fulbright Springs Phase II is complete a partnership with the Community Partnership of the Ozarks will allow us to offer onsite GED classes, budgeting classes and parenting classes, with related childcare. Housed in the community clubhouse, the programs will be covered in our operating budget and will be offered to residents at no charge.
Fulbright Springs is EnergyStar Certified, featuring energy efficient design that benefits the environment and residents in equal measure. Low utility costs are one of the pragmatic benefits of our green building practices. Key organizations within the community are working together to ensure that our development goes beyond tangible buildings. Single Family Homes With Whole Community Support.
Some people think you can identify low-income housing just by looking at it. Not so at Fulbright Springs. Guided by the belief that affordable housing should be held to the same standard as any other housing, we designed homes in which we would like to live.
A single-family residential development consisting of 35 homes (34 affordable and one market rate), Fulbright Springs Phase II features craftsman-style designs, built in accordance with energy efficient practices. The houses come in a variety of designs and range from 1,500 square feet to 2,076 feet.
Although Phase II is comprised of Single Family Homes, a community focus discourages isolation and provides support. With front porches large enough to enjoy with family and friends, the homes encourage neighborhood interaction and friendship. Phase II will also offers its residents (and the residents of Phase I) a newly constructed 1,692 square foot community building complete with a separate classroom, childcare room, and computer access for residents. Additionally, the community building was built with a basement constructed in accord with FEMA standards for a storm shelter. The storm shelter is sufficiently sized to accommodate the residents of Fulbright Springs Phases I and II.
Highland Ridge Senior
Highland Ridge Senior was designed with individuals 55+ in mind. Located in the Highland Ridge Subdivision in the heart of Nixa, Missouri, north of Highway 14 and east of Main Street, the property is within walking distance of The Center, the Nixa Parks Recreation and Aquatic facility, and the 40-acre McCauley Park. Shopping, including Wal-Mart, is located within 1.5 miles of the property. Highland Ridge Senior is a multi-family residential development consisting of twenty-five duplexes, and features units built to last. The development also features homes that encourage neighborhood interaction with front porches large enough to enjoy with family and friends. The homes encourage relaxing in the front of the house and promote, by design, the creation of a community. The design of our duplexes offers a cottage craftsman style with exterior porches on different sides providing a community feel with a degree of privacy for the tenants. There are 50 units - 40 two bedroom units and 10 one bedroom units. The average size of the 2-bedroom units is 775 square feet. The size of the 1-bedroom units is 609 square feet. Homes located in the community offer a variety of amenities, including: - all electric appliances including: washer & dryer, dishwasher, disposal, microwave, stove and refrigerator with ice maker - central heating & air - carpet, laminate & ceramic tile floors - faux wood blinds - ceiling fans - all yard maintenance is handled by the management company - Handicap accessibility & Universal Design - units exceed EnergyStar certification, which should result in lower utility bills - trash service provided - Affordable rents -Rent for the 1 bedroom unit is $310 per month -Rent for the 2 bedroom unit is $335 per month
